1. Applicants receive consultation about the Propulsion Program via the Zentrum für Arbeit und Beruf in Bremen. 
2. Those interested in a career in wind energy upload a 3 minute video to greentech.training plus any supporting documentation they feel supports their application. Attention will be paid to any previous social and communal work, as well as the starting level of German (A2 preferred).
3. greentech.training pre-selects applicants based on the video for an online screening interview in English.
4. The videos of those selected after the screening interview are forwarded to our Propulsion Program partner companies in the wind sector.
5. The partner company interviews the candidate. If the candidate is selected for an internship, the partner company notifies greentech.training, and the online German professional fluency portion of the Propulsion Program begins. Wherever possible, two applicants are selected for each open internship position.
6. Depending on the applicant's starting level of German, the professional fluency upskilling to a CEF B1.2 level may take between 1 to 6 months. Vocabulary related to the GWO training and the internship is included in the training curriculum that can also be formulated in advance with the partner company.
7. Once the candidate passes their internal B1.2 examination, they begin the GWO training with either an onshore or offshore focus at the RelyOn Nutec training facility in Bremerhaven.
8. After concluding their GWO training, candidates commence their internship at the partnering company's location. This may take 3 years depending on the internship in question.

Anyone over the age of 16 living in the Bremen and Bremerhaven area with the means to travel to the company's premises to complete their internship.

This includes those on refugee status looking to commence an internship in the field of wind energy. Note that companies usually have an age cap of 26 for internships but this is not a criteria for exclusion from the Propulsion Program.

First consultation must be made via the Zentrum für Arbeit und Beruf in Bremen.

Our partners in the wind industry have multiple kinds of apprenticeship opportunities available, both onshore and off. These are in various professions already in high demand, and may include offshore wind technician, welder, crane driver and more. The exact internship focus is agreed to between the partner company and the applicant in the interview stage, after which the partner company decides which applicant will be sponsored through the Propulsion Program.

In the first phase of the Propulsion Program, candidates are brought to professional fluency in technical German so that they can begin the internship and the next phase of the program with our GWO upskilling partner RelyOn Nutec. If the candidate's internship is onshore based, the GWO training is as follows:

• GWO Manual Handling
• GWO Working at Heights

If the apprenticeship has an offshore focus, the following is taught:

• GWO First Aid
• GWO Fire Awareness
• GWO Manual Handling
• GWO Working at Heights
• GWO Sea Survival

There is no fee to applicants if they are accepted into the Propulsion Program. Partnering wind companies sponsor those selected for the program that concludes with an internship at their organisation. 

The Propulsion Program and the skills developed within it have been carefully designed to power Germany's energy transition via a wide-reaching community integrative approach. 

It is open to all applicants who meet the criteria listed above, but is primarily aimed at supporting those on refugee status in Germany's northwestern states.

The interconnective approach enables us to provide a formalised and trusted process that is recognised by regional wind sector partner companies within professions essential to the energy transition.

This clear focus helps to provide a level of security for applicants with German residency renewable obligations. 

Additionally, the initial interview between candidates and companies helps to provide security to both parties that a long-term commitment is the basis of the internship.
