greentech.training is pleased to support the work of EUREC, a non-profit association that represents some 35 leading research centres active in the field of renewable energy. EUREC’s primary task is to promote research and development of sustainable energy technologies and foster cooperation between academia and industry. The association also advocates for renewable energy policies and regulations at the EU level in order to create a supportive framework for the development and deployment of sustainable energy technologies.
At greentech.training, we recognise that an early and direct line to the latest research from institutes within associations such as EUREC can help our renewable energy cluster partners keep track of developing trends and technical implementation possibilities. It also helps green technicians interested in renewable energy keep tabs on what future tech they might be required to understand. For this reason we are initiating a new Research Insights initiative where selected researchers from the EUREC cluster and beyond are invited to explain the main aspects of their research in short, straight-to-camera videos we share on Linkedin. We prepare a precis of the text that is also shared via our blog to increase the insight’s reach.
Green technicians and cluster partners then have the chance to connect with the researcher directly after viewing the video. We hope that a cross-sectoral, cross-pollination of ideas can occur with this initiative carried out with the involvement of international researchers, scientists, industry representatives and academia–a simple but effective measure designed to allow the entire renewable industry to grow and support itself. It is a measure that is also designed to support EUREC’s mission is to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon energy future through research, innovation, and collaboration.
If you are a researcher or research institute looking to share your latest research, please view our ‘how to’ video here. We also accept direct solicitations as part of the Research Insights initiative but are selective in the videos we ultimately share.
