Today’s blog is provided by the highly experienced Electrical Engineer Heiko Heinen who introduces the new Offshore Wind Project Management Insight Seminar set to begin from May. During my work as a self-employed master electrician in the trade, I have always been involved with the technology of renewable energy. This gave me the opportunity to combine my professional experience with the new technology as a project engineer. About four years ago, when I started to place myself in this industrial sector, I noticed that an exciting symbiosis was developing between the free-market and the requirements of industry. As a result, completely new structures were formed that combine both areas and complement them in a goal-oriented way.
One of my goals is to help participants understand these structures and requirements in a way that answers the question: How can planning be combined with practical execution in the most effective manner? This question cannot be answered in a few words, but it does require a certain amount of skill and experience to unite the interests of the client, the planner and ultimately the executing company in order to successfully manage and complete a finished product. Because of this, in my seminar I will look at the following points:
By exploring these points within the framework of German and European energy requirements and regulations, I hope to give the participant, and this may be an engineer or project manager, a robust and precise understanding of project planning and management in the offshore wind energy industry. My many years of experience are packed into these concentrated seminars to ensure are well versed to support future and current employers.
