PUblic-private open calls

At greentech.training, we recognize that the energy transition, along with the sustainable management of water and food systems, requires a globally connected, skilled workforce. Through the Climate Mobility Accreditation (CMA) framework, companies can access a diverse talent pool trained in critical skills within the Water, Energy, and Food Nexus.

Expand Your Workforce with global Talent

Our CMA framework connects companies with skilled individuals through both on-premises training programs and international upskilling opportunities. As a public-private partnership model designed to facilitate the development and mobility of climate professionals, the framework has been crafted to match the needs of companies at all stages of the green transition. With a global talent network powered by partners such as the IOM, your future employees are vetted through a trusted network before being trained and certified in internationally recognized qualifications.

For governments, the CMA framework offers a clear pathway to support sustainable job creation and climate adaptation efforts, particularly through workforce mobility initiatives. By aligning with CMA programs, governments can contribute to addressing labor shortages in key sectors while promoting international career development for their citizens. As the program expands, with pilot initiatives like the Solar Catalyst Program in Germany launching in 2025, governments can ensure the effective implementation of climate-driven workforce development strategies.

Our current open call: Solar Catalyst

Via to the Innovationsprogramm für Geschäftsmodelle und Pionierlösungen awarded by the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action, greentech.training has been awarded funding to bring the Solar Technician – Light Commercial and Residential training program to Germany.  Developed in partnership with InnoEnergy, the new accreditation has been designed to be both a specialisation to those with prior qualifications as well as a pre-qualification for those seeking work in the solar sector.

With training expected start in Q3, 2025, it will be a free month-long intensive training program open to 25 applicants living in Germany aged over 18 with at least a strong CEF A2 level of German. For non-native German speakers, we offer a preparatory technical German language course that incorporates all the terms to be taught in the subsequent practical training. We are now accepting applications from industry partners to co-launch the program.

        Benefits for Partners:

        • Access to Talent: Gain early access to a skilled cohort of solar technicians able to perform energy calculations and installations.
        • Financial Support: Co-development of a climate facility through BMWK’s IGP program, with funding secured.
        • Up-to-Date Curriculum: Collaborate on adapting and augmenting the InnoEnergy certified curriculum to meet German roofing structures and your specific needs.
        • Workforce Integration: The potential to integrate graduates into traineeships or full-time employment in your company or operations.
        • International Exposure: Contribute to a globally recognized certification within the Climate Mobility Accreditation framework designed to develop skilled climate professionals worldwide.

        Partner Requirements:

We are seeking two types of partners for the Solar Catalyst Program:

        • Development Partners: Companies or organizations that can provide a location for the training. This includes:

          • At least 100 square meters of space for practical training.
          • A theory room with seating for at least 25 people.
          • The facility must allow for the temporary (or ideally permanent) installation of sloped roof solar systems.
          • Staff should be knowledgeable in handling underlayment/roof membranes and scaffold assembly in German conditions.
        • Community Partners: Companies or organizations interested in hiring the trained graduates post-graduation as solar technicians. Partners do not need to provide a training facility but can support the program by offering employment opportunities.

We are also open to applications from wind energy partners interested in co-developing a climate training facility with torquing training facilities for communal benefit.

        Additional Criteria:

        • Commitment to Sustainability: Partners should align with the values of the Solar Catalyst Program, focusing on renewable energy, climate action, and communal workforce development.
        • Availability of Public Funding: Partners should be willing to work with BMWK’s IGP program for co-funding opportunities for the facility.
